Supporting Families with Science, Empathy, and Commitment
We offer online services in English and Spanish
We provide evidence-based behavior consulting services to support children with developmental challenges and their families. Our mission is to bring science and empathy together to create meaningful change and improve lives.
Parent Coaching
Our parent coaching services are designed to empower caregivers with practical, evidence-based strategies to support their child’s development and teach them adaptive behaviors. Through virtual sessions in English or Spanish, we work collaboratively on goals such as toilet training, mild feeding challenges, and building routines that create meaningful change at home.
RUBI Parent Training for Disruptive Behavior Program©
The RUBI Parent Training for Disruptive Behavior Program is a practical, easy-to-follow program designed to help parents of children with autism who show challenging behaviors like tantrums, aggression, or noncompliance. In weekly virtual sessions, we’ll work together using proven strategies to reduce these behaviors, build positive routines, and teach your child new skills—all in a way that fits your family’s everyday life.

About me
Hi, I’m Mariana Del Rio, M.Ed., BCBA, LBA, and I’m the founder of It Takes a Village Behavior Consulting. I’m a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and a doctoral student in Behavior Analysis at Western Michigan University.
Before starting my private practice, I spent 8 years as the Manager of the Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities at Henry Ford Health, where I had the privilege of leading a team of BCBAs and supporting children and families across a variety of settings. That experience deepened my commitment to accessible, high-quality care rooted in science and empathy.
It Takes a Village was born from a deep need I saw in the community: families looking for both scientifically grounded support and genuine human connection. I believe in the power of parent training, evidence-based intervention, and building strong, informed partnerships with the families we serve. The name comes from the idea that “it takes a village to raise a child”—and when a child is facing developmental challenges, that village is needed more than ever, guided by science, empathy, and commitment.
On a personal note, I’m married and a proud mom to three energetic boys, one very vocal Mini Schnauzer named Ramón, and a sassy cat named Vickie. Our home is always buzzing—and I know firsthand the joys and challenges of parenting. In my free time, I love to read, cook, and go camping with my family.
Thank you for being here. I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey.
